This 67th Annual MOTHER LODE ROUND-UP & PARADE is again sponsored by the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Posse and cooperating merchants and firms. It is financed by them to aid in the promotion of Tuolumne County as the home of the “MOTHER’S DAY RODEO” and as the center of Mother Lode Hospitality.

Parade date is Saturday, May 9, 2026 and the Parade starts promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Judged Categories — 1st and 2nd Place Ribbons

THE TUOLUMNE COUNTY CUP – The best overall Non-Equestrian parade entry. All classes (except Equestrian, Non-competition and Political, and School Bands) will be judged. This will be judged on the parade route.

THE MOTHER LODE ROUND-UP SWEEPSTAKES – The entry best overall Equestrian parade entry. All equestrian classes will be judged on parade route. Remember, if entering an equestrian class, category (24-43) you must still be pre-judged.

WINNERS will be announced Sunday at 1:30 p.m. before the Rodeo performance.(Notification will be Saturday after judging is completed.)

IN CONSIDERATION of acceptance of this application, the undersigned, (and if the undersigned is a group, each and every member of the undersigned participating in this year’s Mother Lode Round-Up Parade) hereby releases and forever discharges, and hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Posse, a California non-profit corporation, and each, every and all of their officers, directors, members, agents, servants and employees, of and from any and all loss. Claim of liability or damage arising out of any personal injury or property damage occurring to any third person or entity arising out of, directly or indirectly, the participation of the Applicant (or any individual of which the Applicant is comprised) in the 2026 Mother Lode Round-Up Parade. The Applicant assumes all risks incurred. The undersigned represents the Applicant and is authorized to execute this release and waiver on behalf of all persons of which Applicant is comprised.

I expressly waive any rights I may have under California Civil Code §1542, which states: “A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him might have materially affected his settlement debtor.”

The Applicant has read the Special Rules and Regulations and Release and Waiver, has informed all members of the group, if this is a group entry. I acknowledge that I have read this Release and Waiver, Rules and Regulations and know and understand its contents. Applicant by signing below, agrees to abide by these for individual or group entry. Anyone under 18 years old must have the parent or adult sign a release and waiver.
